Food & You Series Ages 9-21

This project series provides members with an opportunity to explore a variety of food-related subjects focusing on the main food groups. The topics range from food safety and the correct usage of kitchen tools to different food preparation techniques, nutrition, meal etiquette, and menu planning. Participants will explore both metric and imperial measurements, as well as master the best cooking and measuring methods for different food ingredients. Each unit will incorporate guidance from Canada’s Food Guide, assisting members in making healthy food choices. At the end of the Food & You series, members will have gathered a diverse collection of recipes. Click below for your project!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

  • To achieve completion with these projects and to take part in summer exhibitions, members must have all project requirements (listed on the PIP) and supporting documents completed and showcased in the Member Binder for their Club's Achievement Day
